UGLY! Pads© protect the very delicate top tube on your bicycle from dings and scratches when you lock up your bike and also add a little flava' to your ride. They will fit any old-school frame where the top tube would be about 1" in diameter, and you may choose between 9 inches to 18 inches in length. If you think this is just for the "hipsters", think again - our top tube pads are used daily for mail runs and around-town jaunts. Leaning our bike(s) against scratchy trees or posts is no biggie with the proper protection.

If you don't like what's offered in the selection, let us know what you have in mind and we'll be able to work something out (camo's, plaids, solid colors to match bike parts, misc. patterns). We can pretty much do any combo or funky request you may have.

There are a ton of top tube pads available on the market these days. However, you won't find a higher quality, stoutly built pad than these - definetely not your run-of-the mill, paper-thin covered pads. Best of all, they are entirely custom... we figure if you spend enough time making your bike your own, why limit yourself on a top-tube pad?

ALL PATTERNS ARE LIMITED TO STOCK AT HAND.

How long will my order take? I'm pretty much a one-man army here, sometimes getting help from the Mrs. So, depending on the work load, I'll usually ship within 3-5 days from when your order was made. If you have a special fabric request, please allow an additional 5 days.

Do you ship internationally? Due to the costly expense of shipping, we are discontinuing international orders. E-mail me if you're willing to pay the extra cost for shipping, but I've found that it's actually more to ship these pads than it is for the pads themselves.

My bike DOES NOT have a 1" diameter top-tube (it's larger)? Can I get a pad for my bike? For the most part, NO. I can budge a little for slightly thicker top tubes (1.25"), but for oval, oblong, or very thick top tubes, I cannot make a pad for you. If you do have a slightly thicker top tube, please let me know in the message box when ordering through PayPal.

I'm having trouble deciding on what trim color to combine with my cover. Do you have any tips? This is actually a simple yet effective way of matching your trim to your cover. Much like you'd match a tie to a dress shirt, you pick one color of your cover and match it to the corresponding trim color. Or, if you're just going with a solid color cover, sky's the limit!

Are the pads weather resistant? All of the pads are cloth. I would advise buying some rain resistant spray-on coating from your local outdoor sporting goods store that is used for backpacks and tents if you need your pad to be weather resistant.

Can I get a pattern that you don't have listed on your website? I would be more than happy to help out with your special order. Please contact me via e-mail before placing a special order. I may, or may not, be able to get the pattern you like. Remember, special order fabrics may result in a 5 day additional delay and/or cost.

Can I get custom, embroidered lettering done on my pad? This service has been discountinued.

Can you do screen-printing of a design I send you? This service is not offered at this time.

How are your pads constructed? UGLY! Pads are made exactly like old-school BMX pads: a separate cover wraps around a pad that fits around your top-tube. Everything is secured with velcro.

I'm a dealer/store owner and would like to carry your pads. Do you do have special pricing for dealers? All UGLY! Pads are constructed individually, custom, one-off builds by special request from the person who orders one. I've tried store deals before, but due to the nature of the way these are constructed and the little manpower I have, I only operate via this website for individual orders. I do, however, love to create special builds for events such as alley cat races or charitable causes. Please contact me if you have such a request.

One last note... We here at UGLY! Pads are proponents of rider safety and awareness. We encourage all cyclists to use reflective or high visible clothing, reflectors or reflective tape, and front and rear lighting when riding at night. Please consider installing at least one hand brake mechanism on your bicycle and always, ALWAYS ride with an approved bicycle helmet. Ride safe, ride smart and live to ride another day. You deserve it. - Dion "Dion Rides" @ UGLY! Pads
